A calm quiet day

Kol had grabbed one of my hands in his to what I think was to calm me down. He looked at me and told me it would be alright, I wanted to believe him but we didn't know what to expect. Kol lead me to what I figured was the library what with all the books. The man was drinking and the woman was reading book. I froze. This was her, this was my mother. I could feel my eyes being to water, with anger and happiness.

I heard Kol and his guest enter the room but I didn't look up until Kol cleared his throat. He wasn't acting like his normal cocky self. Which surprised me so I looked up from the book. I looked at Kol and saw the girl with him. My heart literally felt like it fell out of my chest and hit the floor. I stood frozen in my spot, I didn't even feel the book slip from my fingers and land with a thud on the floor. My world came crumbling down around me as tears formed in my eyes. I looked at the girl, I couldn't believe it. She was the mirror image of me, when I was younger. I swayed and held onto the book shelf for support. I didn't think that vampires could go into shock but it sure as hell seemed like I was. I couldn't say anything as I stared at the vampire. I felt like I was going to collapse as I felt my face go pale. I thought she was dead... I thought my daughter was dead.

I looked as Kol brought him and his guest into the library. I frozen in my place because the girl looked like a younger version of Ravyn, but before I could say or do anything I hear something drop to the floor. I sped over to Ravyn to offer my support. She was pale looking, which is almost impossible for a vampire, and she seemed to be in a state of shock. I moved my hands on her arm and shoulder to help keep her up. "All you alright?" I asked. I knew this was her daughter, the one she always thought about and now who knows how Ravyn will react.

I watched as the man, Elijah I think, sped over to my mother after she caught sight of me. She was in a state of shock and who wouldn't be when you nothing of how your daughter is alive? Elijah helped keep my mom up and looked very worried about her. I looked to Kol but he just stood frozen and speechless. I looked back to the man and my mother and I tried to open my mouth to say something but nothing came out. "Uh...um...hi." was all I could say. I could feel the knots in stomach become worse.

"I... I..." I lightly shook my head no trying to answer Elijah, since I couldn't get the damn words out. I let Elijah support me, I was glad that he was a great friend. I stopped myself from shaking with emotion. I looked at Kol and he seemed to be frozen in place. I looked back at the girl as she spoke. Her words were choppy like she had no idea what to say. I swallowed the lump in my throat before I tried to speak. "Hello... Selene." Was the only thing I managed out, my mind was racing.

I didn't know what to say. The first time I see my mother in years and my words can't come out right and whats even worse is I have nothing to say back to her greeting. I can't let this happen. I stood up straight and took in a deep breathe. "Its nice to meet you." I told her. I know shes my mother but I was pretty much a baby when I was taken from her, this is me officially meeting my mother.

I didn't say anything the whole time. I honestly didn't know what to say. I just watched as thing started to unfold. Ravyn didn't look so good as Elijah supported her. She looked like she was ready to fall over at any minute. Both Selene and Ravyn looked like they were at a loss for words. I just stayed quiet and stayed still.

"Nice to finally meet you too." I said trying to keep the tears from falling. I shifted my weight with Elijah still supporting me. I had a million questions spinning around in my mind. But I had no idea how to ask them. Let alone put them into words. I finally managed to say one thing. "How?"

Once I could see Ravyn could hold herself up I let go of her. I turned back to the girl and it was amazing how much she looked like a younger version of Ravyn, like a splitting image. Her name was also very beautiful, Selene. The girls exchanged a few words but seemed at a loss and my brother was frozen in his spot. I hope he had nothing to do with this.

I saw my mother was holding in tears and that made me want to cry too. I am angry with her for leaving but I am also happy to have finally found her. When she asked me how I knew what she meant and I looked to Kol for help but he still was at a loss and seemed to tense up. What is wrong with him? "Um I got stabbed by someone and I was fed vampire's blood to heal but I was already on the verge of death so I ended up turning." I told her playing with my hands again and looking down. It was so hard to talk to her. I tried to keep the answer vague too because I remember he kept saying my mother was going to hurt him.

I just stayed frozen, as I watched everyone in the room. Elijah released Ravyn after she shifted her weight. Elijah looked shocked to see Selene and how she looked like Ravyn. I cringed when Selene mentioned about being stabbed. I hated that memory, I wish I could scrub it from my mind. Selene didn't mention that I was the one that turned her. I was grateful but I knew in the end that I was doomed as soon as Ravyn finds out.

Elijah let go of me so I could support myself. I watched as Selene looked at Kol before speaking. She looked down as she played with her hands while she spoke. Kol cringed when she mentioned about being stabbed. They weren't telling me something. "Where did they take you?" I asked, I wanted to know where they had sent my daughter and why I couldn't find her.

"I was sent to live a family from the church." I told her. "They took really good care of me growing up and gave me a big family but once they found out I was a vampire they disowned me." I said looking away. The memory still haunted me of what I did to my brother. I may like killing but killing someone you love tears you apart.

I growled as my anger rose, I was normally good at controlling my anger. This was a sore subject but I wanted answers. I'm pretty sure the color drained from my face again. Her words hit a nerve. "You were there. With that family. How could I not know? You were under my nose that whole time. I looked at that family." I closed my eyes, as I took a deep breath. I opened my eyes and ran my hands through my hair. "You weren't with them." I snarled at no one in particular. I started to pace as I clenched my fists. I was losing my temper which was no go. I stopped pacing in front of her. Both Kol and Elijah were silent. I looked at my daughter. "How do you know Kol?" I looked between her and Kol with narrowed eyes.

I listend as my mother started to feel angry and was mad that I had be near her the whole time. Everyone in our town new that strict religious family but I guess my mother thought I would never be with them. I tensed though when she asked about Kol. I looked at him tp see he had tensed up also. "Um uh we kinda met a long time ago." Was all I could say. I didn't know how we were gonna explain this one.

Ravyn was getting completely agitated. I barely moved as Ravyn began to pace around the room. Selene was doing a good job dodging her questions pertaining to who turned her. Then Ravyn asked a question that I prayed she wouldn't. I glanced at Selene and noticed that she tensed up at the same time I did. Selene told Ravyn that we met a long time ago. I knew Ravyn would put two and two together and figure out that I turned her daughter. I had to tell her first. I started to open my mouth to speak but she beat me to it.

I watched Selene and Kol. I watched their body language and the way they acted. Both of them seemed nervous and Selene seemed to stutter. Something seemed suspicious to me. Selene said they met along time ago. My eyes widened as the truth hit me. I looked directly into Selene's eyes. "Did he turn you?" I bit out bitterly. I prayed it wasn't true, that he kept her a secret from me for so long.

I stood bywatching everything unravel. This was Ravyn's fight and I was only going to but in when necessary but when she asked if Kol turned Selene and stared her daughter down I lloked to my younger brother. "Kol did you?" I asked with no ounce of remorsebin my voice.

That was it. We were stuck. We either had to answer now or deal with my pissed off mother and an original vampire. I looked to Kol and he looked at me, neither of us were prepared and no joke was goinf to get us out of this. I took a last glance him to let him know what I was goin to do and then looked back to my mother. "Yes, he did."

Well the shit just hit the fan. I thought to myself as Ravyn stared down Selene and asked if I turned her. I could take Ravyn in a fight without even blinking. But I deserved what ever was to come my way. I knew that she spent her whole vampire existence looking for Selene. I never had the chance to tell her that I found her, let alone turn her. I didn't want to tell Ravyn because I didn't know if Selene finished her transition. I didn't think to tell her because I knew it would hurt her. Maybe I should have told her, even if Selene was dead. Ravyn would have been able to move on. But like always I was a selfish bastard.

Elijah looked at me and asked if I did turn her. There was no way I was going to weasel my way out of this one. Selene looked at me and I looked back at her. She took a last glance at me and I knew what she was going to tell her mother the truth. I looked my brother directly in the eyes and lowered my head a little like a scolded child. It was something that I used to do as a human under my brothers scrutinizing gaze. I braced myself as soon as Selene told Ravyn that I did turn her.

Okay blowing up would say the least. As soon as I heard her confirm that Kol turned her, I couldn't control my anger. I sped towards the wall, grabbing Kol by the throat along the way. I slammed him into the wall so hard that the dry wall caved in. "How could you do this to me Kol." I shouted in anger. My face went vainy and completely vamped out as I snarled at Kol. "You knew I was looking for her. You fucking knew." I brought him forward a little and slammed him back against the same spot. "I spent an entire two centuries looking for her. I didn't give up after a normal humans life ended. You hid her existence from me." My voice started to get a little hysterical. I my mind was going to crumble just as my world did. "You're a selfish bastard, you don't care about who you destroy along the way." I snapped at him harshly. "You didn't even have the fucking balls to tell me she was alive. It wasn't like you just got undaggered and released from that coffin yesterday. You had plenty of time to tell me." I slammed him into the wall again. Since I wasn't being slammed into the wall I knew he was letting me do it. I no longer realized that Selene and Elijah were still in the room. My anger was taking complete control.

After I told my mother Kol turned me she completely caved in to her anger. She sped up to Kol and started yelling at him and slamming him into the wall. His brother wasn't stopping her so I knew I had to. I ran to her. "Please stop, it wasn't his fault!" I told her but she didn't let go she kept slamming him and yelling. "Mother stop!" I yelled. She didn't know the full the story, she can't do this!

Ravyn grabbed me and sped me right into the wall. I was not expecting her to be this violent but I let her. In truth I deserved her plunging a dagger into my heart. I honestly didn't know that Selene was alive but I still should have told her. I stayed quiet to let her get all of her anger out. It was better for her to take it out on me rather then someone else like her daughter. She kept slamming me into the wall. No doubt Niklaus would be furious about his house. Ravyn kept talking, she was right though I did betray her. She continued to slam me into the wall. Elijah and Selene just stood there. Suddenly Selene ran towards Ravyn, and started yelling at her to stop. I wanted to protect her in case, Ravyn did something out of anger. "Elijah move Selene back." I bit out as Ravyn slammed me into the wall again. I looked into Ravyn's eyes and I knew it was coming.

I watched as Selene told Ravyn that Kol was the one responsible for turning her. I looked at Rayvn and saw her as she sped to Kol and repeatedly slammed him into the wall screaming at him. Selene then ran to Ravyn to get her to stop but Kol as me to move her away. I sped over to Selene and grabbed her by the waist and pulled her back. I knew Kol would be fine because of course he is an Original but I was not okay with letting Ravyn slam my brother into a wall. "STOP THIS NONSENSE RAVYN!" I yelled sternly.

Elijah yelling is what caught my attention. Out of all the years that i've been a vampire or even when I was still human, I have never heard him yell. I cocked my head to the side as I contemplated whether or not I was going to listen to him. I decided not to. In a blink of an eye, I turned it off. There was no longer any friendliness left in my features. My eyes were no longer warm. All that was left was the cold cruel calculations of a killer, deep within my features. I smirked at Kol before I threw him across the room. Of course he was caught of guard and went through the wall next to the first book shelf. Before he went through the wall though I was already next to Elijah. I slipped my daylight ring off of my finger and had slammed it down on the table.

"Lighten up Elijah, your brother had it coming." I hissed out in a dark tone. Which was completely foreign for everyone except Rebekah and Kol. I looked him in the eyes with my cold dead ones. Before I sped upstairs not even bothering to look at my daughter. I grabbed my bag that I normally had with me, which had my cash, phone, a spare change of clothes, along with other stuff. I grabbed my leather coat and was gone before any of them could grasp what had just happened. I didn't even bother to close the front door, so it was left wide open.
