A calm quiet day

I was sitting in the library looking at some old documents of Mystic Falls. I didn't know how Niklaus got these but he likes to know everything he can about his enemies. I was sitting in one of the chairs twirling a pen in my hand as I read about the town's history. The house was quiet and no one seemed to be trying to kill each other which was pure bliss. I did however hear some footsteps that were on there way toward me, I looked up to see the familiar blonde. "Well hello Ravyn." I said and went back to reading.

Surprisingly it was extremely quiet in the house which was very unusual. I mean come on it's a house full of Originals and me. The only person that wasn't around was Kol. He said he was going to the Grill for a few drinks. He wasn't back yet, but I wasn't worried. If he was going to cause trouble he would have called me. Klaus was keeping to himself which was pure heaven. Rebekah was trying on new clothes, and I really didn't want to be apart of that. Finn well i wasn't sure where he was. So I figured why don't hang out with Elijah. I grabbed two glasses and a bottle of my Irish Whiskey and went searching for him. I didn't really have to search hard I knew he'd be in the library since he loves to read.

I was wearing my signature black heeled boots so it was easy to tell that it was me, who was coming. I was wearing black skinny jeans and one of my signature lacy black tank tops. Which of course was normal for me like Elijah and his suits. I walked into the library to see Elijah sitting down reading a book while playing with a pen. He looked up at me and said hello.

"Hello Elijah." I said with a smile. I walked over to him and set the glasses and bottle down on an empty spot on the table. "Care to join me?" I asked thinking that he'd need a break from all his reading. "I looks like you could use a break." I said leaning against the table.

I just gave a small smile. "Why not? Most of this history is wrong anyway and it is a bit irritating." I said and started getting up. I put the pen and documents down on the table Ravyn had brought the glasses and bottle. I picked up the bottle to see what she had. "Irish Whiskey, its been awhile since I've had any of this." I told her. I was more of a wine man but I did enjoy the burn of whiskey and rum. I poured some into my glasses and took a drink.

"Shouldn't you know by now that they always get the facts wrong!" I stated bluntly and chuckled lightly. I watched him put the documents down on the table along with the pen. I smirked at Elijah. "I kind of figured you didn't. I brought a few bottles with me from my last trip in Ireland." I watched as he poured himself a glass and drank from it. I filled up my glass and sipped some. "Good isn't it?" I asked as I patted him on the shoulder and walked around him. I leaned over the table and looked at the documents then I looked up at him. "What exactly are you reading?"

"Very." I told her after I took the drink. Most beverages like this were better in foreign countries then in America. Ravyn gave me a friendly pat on the shoulder as she walked over to the documents I was reading. "Its some documents from the Founder's archives. I'm guessing Klaus got some copies of them for whatever unknown reason." I said. Niklaus always had soething up his sleeve and I had to figure it out before it could be disasterous. I poured myself another glass and then walked over and sat back in the chair I was previously in. "So much of the history is covered or twisted. The Founder's were extremely secretive." I told her.

I drank some more of the whiskey. "He's probably looking for the other White Oak Ash dagger." I said indifferently. That was a fun meeting with Mikael before he was daggered and chained up. He wanted me to kill Niklaus with it if I ever got the chance to. "Or it could be for something else." I downed the rest of what was in my glass and poured myself some more. "You never know with Nik." Which was true. "As for the founder's they cover their asses just like we compel to cover ours. Excuse my language." I said to Elijah knowing he didn't like foul language.

"Your right, you never know." I said and took another small sip. Being the eldest I knew I had to clean up whatever mess he got into. I chuckled as Ravyn said sorry for her language. "No need for apologizies I know you were just speaking your mind." I told her. If anything thats what I respected about Ravyn she said what was on her mind because she cared about something not just to make someone furious. "How are you adjusting to the town?" I asked her while swirling around the whiskey in my glass.

I looked at Elijah and chuckled. "I think i'm adjusting pretty well. Made a few friends already." I said smiling lightly. "The Salvatore's niece is an interesting human. I like hanging out with Mayor Lockwoods son." I smirked thinking about all the fun I have with Tyler. "The Bennett witch and her boyfriend are cool to hang with too." I took another sip of my drink. "I haven't killed anyone yet so all in all i'm adjusting just fine." I was actually in a good mood. "So Elijah when am I going to get to see you wearing jeans and a t-shirt instead of your suits all the time?" I asked playfully poking him in the arm.

"Thats good to hear." I told her. I knew about her making friends who were actually a group of Niklaus's enemies but Ravyn kinda kept her distance from all the chaos. It did surprise me though she made friends with one of Klaus's Hybrids. I took another sip of the drink and laughed at her. "Well Ravyn you and I did not cross paths in the 90s, thats the last time I wore jeans." I said smiling at her. I always considered her a great friend.

"Oh man!" I whined playfully then pouted at him. "That's so unfair." I said then took a sip of my whiskey. "One of these day's I'm going to raid your closet." I grinned evilly. "And I'm going to replace all your suits with jeans and t-shirts." I smirked at him. "Or just the jeans." I whispered lowly. I chuckled lightly, I mean come on who doesn't what to see Elijah shirtless.

I laughed as I heard Ravyn's comments. "I get enough 'fashion advice' from Rebekah, I didn't think you would join in with her." I told her with a smile. Rebekah barely likes the clothes of this century but she seems to enjoy telling everyone how to dress. "Have you seen Kol? I actually wanted to speak with him earlier." I asked her remembering I was looking for my brother earlier.

I laughed. "The only fashion advice Rebekah is good for is telling me which bra and pantie set looks better!" I grimaced because she likes to tell me what to wear. "Besides she routes through my closet looking for clothes." Suddenly my phone went off letting me know that I had gotten a text message. I groaned when I read the message.


"Good for you Bekah!" I said loudly and rolled my eyes. I looked back to Elijah. "No I haven't seen him, he was supposed to be back about two hours ago." I smirked devilishly. "We were going to try and stay out of trouble."

"Rebekah and Ravyn are so childish sometimes"I thought to myself shaking my head but Ravyn was right. I took another sip of my drink. "Well I hope you two do, we don't really need anymore blood on our hands. I think we should keep to my mother's plan of being respectful in this town." With what is going on it could cause a ruckus with the mayor and Founders Council, that was just a problem we did not need.

"You know me, I like to try and stay out of trouble. Besides these towns people have kind of grown on me." Except for the times i've flipped. I made a funny face at Elijah's comments about Esther's rules. "I may have broken that rule once." I saw referring to drinking from two hikers while I tried getting Stefan to stop being a baby.

"I don't want to know." I told her. The less I knew the better. "Just don't go a rampage anytime soon, we'll have a problem there." I told her and then taking another sip. I have to admit Ravyn knew her alcohol.

"Yeah it's best not to ask, it's a long story." And I didn't really want to explain everything that happened. I downed the rest of my drink and cracked my neck. I poured myself another glass full of whiskey. "I don't go on rampages in the towns I live in." I muttered under my breath, no one but Kol and Rebekah knew about me going off the deep end, and killing whole villages.

"Well I've never been on a rampage to begin with." I told her finishing up my glass. I have killed before but I always felt tremedous guilt afterwards so I drink from blood bags or enough that won't kill the person.

"They are fun, but the guilt is killer." I sighed and took a sip of my drink. Certain things set me off but honestly I was due for another one soon. "We should hang out at the Grill or something soon it gets boring around the house." I said trying to lighten the mood so it wasn't so damn gloomy. "Oh crap... My birthday is coming up soon." I groaned it sucked getting older.

I poured myself another glass as Ravyn admitted the guilt of killing. "Hanging out at the Mystic Grill is not really my forte, I'd rather spend my time drinking alone without absurd drunks." I said walking over to the big bay window in the library. Humans let Alcohol take them over and honestly its a bit ridicolous. I chuckled a bit at Ravyn. "I didn't know you still celebrated your birthday Ravyn." I said still looking out the window and taking a sip.

"Oh come on Elijah! Please..." I said pouting and batting my eyelashes. "We never hang out together except for here." I took a sip of my drink. "Elijah you have to learn how to have some fun." I sighed. "You're starting to get boring in your old age." I said as a joke in a serious tone. "Yes occasionally I decide to celebrate my birthday every few decades. It helps me stay attached to my human side, plus it lets me have some normal fun." I smiled. "Besides what else am I to do, I'm forever stuck as 26?"

"Whats better then here? You get one on one conversation and free drinks." I said a lifted up my glass on emphasis. "Whats better then that?" I asked her. I took a sip of my drink and then chuckled again at her. "I have fun Ravyn just not the kind you and Kol have." I said smiling at her. She is always good company. "Celebrate like 26 year olds of this time, just get drunk and move on." I told her walking back to chair.

"How are the drinks free when I paid for a majority of the alcohol that is now in this house?" I said rolling my eyes. "Human interaction, you out of all people should understand that." I sighed. "You don't have to have fun like me and Kol, you are your own person ya know." I stated bluntly. I watched as he walked back to his chair. "You're starting to have the personality of a house plant." I chuckled. "What happened to the fun Elijah?" I pouted.

"Free from when they are from someone elses stash. And sometimes interacting with humans just reminds me of times when I was human." I said and took another drink. I enjoyed human life but sometimes it was just hard to deal with. "I thought I was always fun?" I asked her.

I just sighed at him and sat on the edge of the table that was clear of stuff. I took another sip of my drink. I crossed my ankles. "You are fun, just in your old boring way." I smirked at him over my shoulder. "Need any help?" I asked referring to the documents on the table.

"I was just looking through them, nothing I need from them." I told her. Niklaus was just up to scheming right now so I had to figure out wht he was up to. I took a small sip. "So is your affair with Damon over yet?" I asked. Rebekah likes to gossip and she gossips loud.
