The Soldier and The Girl

Erin felt his heart beat and her lips part more from each other. Her hand felt his heart beat but something else as well. She felt a bandage, or so she believed around him. "Mark, what is around your chest?" Her hand then traveled down as she felt even more of the bandage around him. She felt herself frowning slightly as she then looked into his black eyes. She felt pity for him. Her heart ached to know he was hurt in the past. Was she in fact falling for Mark? She already knew the answer and then answer was yes. Erin Smith was falling for Mark.

Erin frowned and looked around the grill. Maybe he would open up more if they were somewhere private. She knew that they could not go to her house, in fear her brother would be home. "How about we go to your home and talk about it in private?" Her eyes looked back up at him as her hand did not leave his bandaged chest. Her breath was easy as she then kept looking at him. Her blue orbs kept looking at him. She then found herself rubbing his chest up and down slowly and easily on his chest.

Erin took ahold of one of Mark's hand and begun to walk out of the grill. "Do you have a car or do we have to walk?" Her voice was just full of pure innocence as her blue eyes wandered around the outside area around them. Her body was close to Mark's side as she kept looking around slowly. There was also a height difference between Mark and Erin as they stood close to one and other. She was very petite compared to his muscular body. They were Yin and Yang, they were made for each other.

Erin blushed as she then walked towards the couch. "It is perfectly fine." She still wore that heart warming smile on her lips before she sat on the couch. The home that Mark lived in looked a whole lot more homey than her home at least. She crossed her left leg or top her right leg as her hands rested upon he knee. "Before we begin, I just wanted to say that I truly liked your home here Mark. It is homey and warm."

Erin then whispered her first question to him as she sat the black outfit. "Why do you have those bandages on your chest Mark? What is that outfit over there? Is this ammunition on the table?" Her eyes then went back onto him. This time she cuddled close to him as she placed her hands onto his chest, where she knew the bandages were. Her hand ran up and down slowly on his chest. She just wanted him to be completely open up with her and she wanted him to know that she would always be there for him, no matter what. Her heart fluttered loudly as she looked into his perfect eyes. "Sorry if I seem nosey Mark" she whispered and blushed a bit.

Erin frowns as she looked at the blood stained bandages. "Tell me where your bandages are now. I need to re-wrap you so you don't have dirty blood on you." She looked at him now with her sad eyes. "When I am wrapping you up, please tell me more about you...please" She kept her hands onto his chest as she moved closer to him. Her lips parted from one and other as her blue eyes shinned sadly. Her heart ached as she looked at how sad and hurt Mark was on the inside and outside. It made her want to cry even about how sad it truly was. She found herself fighting back the tears that threaten to come down from her eyes as she just sat there on the couch besides him.

Erin frowns the whole time as she then grabbed the bandages and pain killers. She put the pain killers onto the table as she then begun to unwrap his dirty wrap off his chest. She was gentle and easy with him as she whispered, "I am so sorry Mark. I really am." She sounded like she was even about to cry as she didn't look at him. She felt so much pain for him as she then finished taking off the wraps. She had to hold back a loud gasp as she looked at the scar on his chest. Her fingers shakily started to go towards the scar. Tears brimmed her eyes as she looked at him and the scar.

Erin then touched the scar finally. Her small fingers traced the scar up and down slowly as she let a few tears fall. "I am so sorry Mark...I am so sorry." she whispered this in a small whisper as she looked at the scar. Her sad eyes then looked up at him slowly as her lips were still parted. She took her free hand that wasn't touching the scar and wiped the tears away quickly. She then went back to wrapping back up his chest slowly and gently. She was not scared of Mark at all.

Erin could not help herself but to hug him around his neck. "Your hands do not have blood on them. They are clean now Mark. They may of had blood on them in the past, but not anymore. You are a new person. A better person, and I am really glad you are now with me here in Mystic Falls. I am also very happy that my brother actually let me out of the house today to get something to eat. If my brother didn't have a slight change in heart today, he would of never let me out of that damn house. I am sure glad I got to meet you." She whispered all of this into his ear as she slightly closed her eyes a bit.

Erin frowns and felt more tears come out of her eyes as she said in a shaky voice, "Mark, please never never never try to kill yourself. Please." Her head then went into his shoulder as she then cried onto his bare shoulder. She hugged him tighter as the tears dripped down slowly. She never wanted to think of him dead. She would not be able to live if Mark died on her. She was shaking slightly as she just even thought about it a bit. "Please never say that again. I-I-I..." She did not know if she could finish it. What if she was pushing it way to fast with him. "I would die with out you."

Erin closed her eyes tightly as the tears would not stop flowing down her face. His words sunk deep into her as she then whispered, "Thank you Mark. If you died, I would die along besides you, for I do not know if I would be able to survive if I were to live without you by my side now. I need you Mark. I never knew I would ever need someone to live on, but after just meeting you today, I know that I need you in order to survive." The tears kept hitting his bare skin as her small body and arms kept hugging him tightly around his neck.

Erin kept a very tight grip on Mark as she was not letting go, until he told her to of course. She just wanted to be by his side no matter what. "Mark, please protect me." she whispered very softly to the protective man who made Erin feel like she was worth something to this world. She felt wanted. Needed. Loved.

Mark's grip loosened slightly as he drifted into his mind, questioning himself.. Was this real? Or is he just thinking about this so he feels better? It just felt so unreal. A moment ago he was all alone in this world, now there was Erin, the person that he feels these emotions. Even though he felt this wasn't real, he wasn't going to object about it, he was enjoying her warmth... "Don't worry Erin.. I will."

Erin then begun to avert her wandering, blue eyes up to the handsome man who slightly held her now. Did she say something wrong to make him loosen up his grip upon her? She surely hope that she did not. "And I promise to do the same with you Mark. I promise that I will protect you to the best that I can. I may look weak, but I will fight for anything I want to fight for, so that means that I will fight for you Mark. In all reality, I want you happy."
