| Bonnie interrupted us on the porch. I suppressed at sigh when I heard her invite James in. My heart broke for the couple, neither one deserved this fate. I followed them to the living room but stayed about five feet away to give them some space. I wish this hadn't happened, if only James would have listened to me. Maybe things would be different, he wouldn't be in transition. I wanted to kill him myself for not listening but that was my guilt talking. I felt extremely guilty for what happened. I was on the edge of snapping but I wasn't going to let it show. I had to keep it together, Damon had already flipped his switch. They didn't need another rogue vampire on their hands.
And with James soon to be a newborn, that was just as bad. I was going to have to teach him the ropes so he didn't kill half the town. I wasn't going to force him to eat bunnies or anything like that. That would just make things harder for him and he wouldn't be at his full strength. In the end it would only cause his self destruction faster. He'd end up getting hungry and he'd eat someone. I was debating on getting to start with blood bags or humans. Or vise versa. I was jerked out of my thoughts by what Bonnie and James were doing. I tensed up when James went over to Bonnie but relaxed when he only hugged her.
I looked at my phone for the time. I cleared my throat to get both of their attention. "I hate to burst your bubbles but James you have about three hours left." I didn't want to rush them but James didn't have much time left. He needed to complete the transition or he'd die.

| Bonnie hugged James back and just clung to him. It fekt they had been so far away since what happened. It felt like years away but really it was only like a day. She looked up as Ray told them James had three hours left. She took a breath and let him go. This was his last moment as being human, or as human as someone in transition can be. She looked into his eyes and said the only thing she could "I love you." she said it as a whisper but she knew he could hear her. | |

| "Are you ready?" I said to basically both of them. I didn't want to rush them but time wasn't on our side at the moment. I pulled a blood bag out of my bag and held it out to him. The sooner he drank the sooner I can start teaching him. | |

| Tears had begun shedding from his eyes, slowly they trickled down his cheeks as they hugged, the two of them. James was not certain if it would be their last hug, or their last moment together: so he wrapped her up as tightly as he could possibly could without hurting her. His tears transferred from his face onto her's. After Ravyn had announced the countdown to how long he had, a sense of nervousness swept over him; that, and he was scared for his life: What would it be like after he had changed, his emotions were heightened even more after the transition, what if he couldn't handle it? Would he turn off his emotions? No, he couldn't do that to Bonnie, not like that.
Soon, he noticed Bonnie whisper something, and then he did the same. "I love you, too, honey. More then you know" James told her, as he then looked back to Ravyn. He was never going to be ready for this, never going to be ready to become a... Vampire. No, but he knew, on some level, that he'd always need to make this choice - the right one, to drink the blood and complete the transition. "Just a minute" His hand reached out and grabbed Bonnie's, then pulled her in tight before showing his affection for her, one last time before he was a vampire: Passionately, his lips soon touched hers.

| Bonnie was trying to keep it together then James' leaned in and kissed her, passionately. She kissed him back with force and let them be together. She held on to him then she knew the minuets were ticking away. "OK" she said pulling slightly away from the kiss but stayed near him. She felt tears on her cheeks. "You're ready for this. I know you are." she said being strong for him. | |

| His passion seemed to overtake his mind as he continued kissing her, lips locked together as his tongue twirled around in her mouth for several minutes. It was the best moment, ever, in his life; because he knew, it was the last one he would have as a human, the last moment he would have to tell, or let Bonnie know how he felt.
But the tears continued falling even as the two of them continued to kiss, not concentrating on making them stop, but just on the moment. Soon, she had pulled away. He knew that the time was now, for him to drink the bag and complete his transition. His right hand soon reached out, and grabbed it, then his arm retracted to him and he held the bag in front of him. Slowly he looked up to Bonnie, steering his attention away from the blood for a split second; which seemed like a lifetime, and nodded to her, his tears continued falling. James then ripped open the top of the bag and drank it; sucking it dry.

| I watched everything and stayed quiet for awhile. James took the blood bag and finally drank. I knew he'd feel pain as his fangs elongated. I pulled another blood bag out of my bag and handed it to him. "You'll be very hungry, these should take care of it for awhile." I said referring to the rest of the blood bags I have. | |

| James' eyes almost instantly turned red as the veins protruded from underneath his eye lids, like they were about to burst open. He felt a sense of extreme power rush over himself, like a wave or a tsunami just glided over his head. His canine teeth grew with the more blood he drank as he went down to his knees in the pain; but did not shed a tear - no, this was more emotional then physical. After all, he was turning into a full Vampire, not being stabbed by a sword.
After the first bag was finished, his back side was forced down to the ground as the transition came to a complete finish. He looked up at both of them, and shoved himself backwards into the wall. The blood, it was.. intoxicating.

| I watched as James devoured the first blood bag. I was extremely alert the whole time. I didn't want him skipping over the blood bags for the real thing since Bonnie was in the room. He completed the transition but he still looked hungry. I pulled another blood bag from my bag. I walked over to him and handed it to him. Once he took it I spoke. "How do you feel James?" I hadn't turned anyone in a long time but remembering my own transition and helping others through theirs. I knew it was comforting to have someone there to help them. I had sympathy for the new vampire that was in front of me. I couldn't stomach looking at Bonnie. I felt an extreme amount of guilt for having to put her through this. | |

| James continued having his back against the wall - his emotions were at an all time high now that the transition was complete, but indeed, he did still feel hungry. Hungry for blood. His gaze moved swiftly between the two girls: Bonnie, then Ravyn as she handed him another blood bag. He reached out his arm and grabbed it, then looked up into her eyes. "I feel - guilty, mad, angry" He replied back while ripping the top of the blood bag and swallowing the silky red liquid.
After the bag was done, he looked back to both of them, and tossed the bag onto the floor of Bonnie's house. His hunger appeared to be satisfied - for now. But he still wanted to keep his distance from her: Bonnie, the only human left in the room. Slowly, he stood up and glanced between the both of them - again, unsure of what exactly to do now.

| I watched James closely to make sure he wouldn't lung at Bonnie. I picked up the empty blood bags that James had flung on the floor. Once I stood up straight I replied to him. "You'll feel those emotions a lot, especially right now. They will pass in time, trust me until then I'll have to keep you in check." He kept looking between Bonnie and myself. He stood up slowly and looked between us again. I didn't look at Bonnie I was too ashamed to. "James I'll take you to the Salvatore's place. They have a steady blood supply and a few extra rooms." I grabbed my bag and put it over my shoulder. "I'm sorry that this happened Bonnie, but we better go." | |

| Bonnie was turned away through ll of it and went to look at the ring again. She still wasn't sure what it was but it was beautiful. When Ray spoke to her she turned and felt the tears in her eyes. "It's not your fault." she didn't want to cry in front of them it would only make it harder. "I guess thi sis goodbye then." she said looking down at her coffee table but was speaking to James. She said it with the context of saying goodbye tonight, but in her heart she new once he was out the door everything would be over | |

| He moved his gaze to the floor, in front of the fireplace where him and Bonnie had last consummated, before the guilt had hit him. He couldn't seem to look down at the fireplace any longer, before looking up to Ravyn. "Okay, then let's get going before I end up staking myself" He told Ray, sternly, as he went to walk out the door before turning around at Bonnie's words, and taking a glance over at the ring he had planned on giving her the previous night, before being killed by Rebekah.
James turned away from Bonnie for a moment, thinking to himself, before walking over to her and picking the ring out of the box, kneeling down on one knee and reaching for her hand. "I planned - to give this - to you that night when we - went out for - dinner, but then - the kidnapping happ - ened, and I was - - killed. But you - should still have - it" He told her, his sentence was being interrupted by both sobs, and his anger for turning into what he was, before slipping the ring onto her finger.

| Bonnie watched as he knelt down and and put the ring on her finger. She looked into his eyes and felt tears well up in her eyes. "This is for me?" she asked and looked at her hand. So that was what it was for. It was hers. She was amazed he had loved her so much. But now, it was over. | |
