Unexpected Turn

I got out of my Blue Porsche, and tossing my key to the Valet parker. "Don't scratch my car, or you'll regret it," I said, giving him a death stare, then walked off to the front steps of the Mansion. I stepped in front of the person who was taking invitations, giving him David Crow's invitation. "Master David got caught up in something, so I am filling in for him," I explained. Evetta forgot the invitation when she left, so she probably compelled him to let her in. I smiled as he said I can go in. I stepped in through the front door, then entering into the Gala, which was filled with people.

I suddenly hid out of sight when I saw Evetta walking towards me. She didn't see me though since her attention was on her phone. I hid behind a huge group of people. I compelled a tall man, leading him into a room. I instantly clamped my fangs on him, blacking out. I drank for a few good minutes, then told him, "You never saw me here - okay?" He nodded, looking like an insomniac, and I escorted him out of the room. I quickly changed out of my casual attire, and put on my pitch black dress. It made my immortal features look even more stunning. I put on my daylight necklace. It had a amber heart connected to the chain. The chain was lapiz Lazuli - not the heart. That's why I can walk out in the daylight. I put on my black six inch stiletto heels, walking back out of the room. I glided back in with elegance and such defining grace in my footing. I decided to look for a man to dance with, somewhere within the Gala.

Alexis walked in to he ball and looked around at all the different people and got caught up in all of the hype. she smiled and took a drink and walked into the dancing area and accidently bumped into someone. her drink tipped forward but luckily didnt land on her outfit and looks up to see who she ran into. "I am so sorry." she said brushing off her dress.

I was glad that the woman's drink that bumped into me wasn't on my black dress. "Oh, you're fine." I said, smiling. "I'm looking for a hottie to dance with, what about you?" I asked, looking at the girl with a smile. Suddenly, I caught her scent. She's a Werewolf, I thought, keeping my smile on my face, when I was a little scared. David told me that Werewolves could kill a Vampire with just one bite. I don't know if it's true, but I would not like to find out.

Alexis gave the girl a smile and laughed when she said she was looking for someone to dance with. "I'm looking for some people I know." she gave her a dazzling smile then caught her particular scent. A vampire? Wow. she thought. she knew that vampires would be here but she still thought it was weird that they were so normal.

"That's wonderful!" I said, smiling wildly. I lost my speech for a moment, creating an awkward silence. Suddenly, I impulsively said, whispering to her where no one could hear. "Okay, I know you're a Werewolf, and you probably know I'm a Vampire." I said, keeping my smile, being friendly. "I'm not hear to harm anyone. I'm just hear to have some fun and dance the night away with a really cute guy, even though I will crave for his blood." I said, then put a hand over my mouth, gasping. I hated that - my switch flicking on and off instantly without warning. "I'm sorry ... I didn't mean to say that." I said, being really apologetic. I was surprised that no one heard me when I spoke aloud.

Alexis laughed and put her hand on the girls shoulder. "Relax, I am not going to harm you. I don't have any problem with Vampires." she said in a whisper and then smiled at her to let her know she was being genuine. "My Names is Alexis, by the way." she said and held her hand out to shake hers.

I sighed with enormous relief when she said that she wasn't going to hurt. I even laughed with her. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Alexis. My name is Maxine." I said, grabbing her hand gently. I didn't want to hurt her. I had trouble sometimes with my strength, just like Evetta did. "So, wanna go find some hot guys?" I asked, eying the crowd with a sadistic smile.

Alexis smiled and linked her arm in Maxine's "Sure, lead the way" she said with a smile and couldn't help but think maybe she had an actual friend since she moved to Mystic Falls.

We walked in unison, arms linked together. I had a smile on my face, and then caught a glimpse of two really hot bods to our right. I gently lead the way over, and said. "Hello, I'm Maxine, and this my recent new friend, Alexis." I said, smiling at her then looking at the ashy blond boy, gently pulling on his tie, making him level with me. "Wanna dance?" I said, rubbing my lips onto his. I know I looked and sounded like a whore at that moment, but he was available, so I took it.

Alexis smiled when she saw Maxine grab the blonde guy so she went over to the brunette and put her hand on his shoulder. "Hi, you wanna dance?" she gave him a big smile and fluttered her eyelashes.

I smiled up at the blond boy, dancing gracefully in his arms as he was with me. I continued to look up, and say, "So, what's your name?" I asked, giving off a sadistic smile, dancing our way to the very center of the Gala. I could feel mostly everyone's eyes on us, but I didn't care. We continued to dance, lost in thought. I waited patiently for the boy to answer.

I smiled down at the girl, and said, "Galvin Villiers. It's a pleasure to meet you ... young Vampire." I said, whipering the last part in her. I pulled her closer, continuing to dance. "Don't worry. I'm a Vampire too." I said, feeling the fear spreading through her, then being relieved. "Maybe I should show you to my Master, Kol. He would love to meet you," I said, smiling. I stopped, and gently lead her to where Kol was, who sat over at a rather fancy looking table.

I told Galvin to go off and mingle with some of the people here, I didn't want him on too short of a leash. It had been awhile but I didn't feel the need to go looking for him. I sat at one of the fancy tables by myself drinking a glass of whiskey. I scanned the crowd and smirked when I saw Galvin coming my way. I quirked an eyebrow when I saw that he was bringing a brunette over to the table. I watched as they came closer, and noticed that the woman with him was a vampire. I rose to my feet as the got to the table. "Galvin I trust you are staying out of trouble." I smirked at him. "And who is this?"

"Yes I am," the boy said, still holding my hand. "Well, it's nice to your name, finally," I laughed. I looked over at the taller one known as Kol. "I already know Kol. He did me and my friend Evetta a favor," I said, smiling at Galvin and looking at Kol. "Galvin, would you mind if I have a minute with your Master? It's really important," I said, rubbing his shirt covering his chest. "As you wish," He said with a smirk, and left. "I can't thank you enough for Killing my Master. He has kept something a secret for far too long, and it would raise heads everywhere in Mystic Falls." I said, looking at Kol. "He was after the Doppleganger, Kol." I said, referring to Elena Gilbert. "Evetta says he has an accomplice who will try and come after all of us involving David, including Elena. We have to find him and kill." I said, giving him a serious look. "You have to find out who it is for me. Evetta is here, and she knows, but she won't tell me"

I nodded at Galvin to let him know it was okay to leave her with me to talk. I watched as Galvin walked off then turned back to face Maxine. At least I'm assuming it was Maxine since she started to mention the other female that David turned. I nodded my head at her. "It was my pleasure especially after he attempted to kill me, then staked a dear friend of mine, and then slapped a dear friend of mine you probably know her; Elizabeth." I said trying to keep the rage out of my voice. I'd kill him a hundred times over if I could and I'd still be furious. I narrowed my eyes at the woman in front of me. "He was after my brother's doppelganger?" I clenched my jaw tightly. "It will be taken care of, if she tells me I will tell you. If she doesn't i'm sure she'll tell my brother of face the consequences."

I looked in horror at what Kol had told me. "Oh my god... your friend didn't die did she?" I asked, worried. I knew once a Vampire was staked, it was game over for them, except for an Original, who can only die from White Oak. "My apologies for the bad new," I said, feeling upset about bringing it up. This night was supposed to be fun, but here I am, telling an Original that there's trouble coming again.

I chuckled at her reaction. "My friend was only neutralized not killed, thank god. I didn't need to deal with three hysterical female vampires. She'll actually be here tonight for some reason she's in the raffle with my sister." I looked at Maxine. "Thank you for letting me know, about the David thing. When I get a chance I will look for your friend."
