Bonfire of the Millennium

Bonnie slowly woke and first thing she felt was the blazing pain in her skull then she slowly opened her eyes and she looked up to see James and he was crying. She tried to speak but her throat hurt and and she couldn't get anything out. She slowly realized her head was on James' lap. What happened?

When Bonnie awoke, his tears didn't stop. If anything they ran down faster. He was ecstatic that she was still alive, and better then that, she was awake. Made him forget all about what happened before the explosion, "You were standing close to the fire when the car exploded, I must have been tossed back from the explosion or something and I couldn't get to you in time." He said, tears still running down his face. "I'm surprised that you weren't injured more. Thought you would have been gone for good. It was a big explosion, almost everyone is injured."

Bonnie was shocked. "An explosion?" she asked. Then she remembered how she pushed him away and that she was hurt. "Well I am fine. Help me up? I want to check on people." she said and slowly tried to get herself off the ground.

After taking a look around to see who was injured, he looked back down to Bonnie, who was still laying in his lap. "Yea, an explosion. That car that was on the fire" He made sure that she wasn't having amnesia, making sure to enunciate that last phrase before helping her back up. "Are you sure? Just a few minutes ago you were lying here unconscious, shouldn't you get checked out for a concussion or something like that?"

Jeremy kept applying pressure to his head and he leaned back against the car, closing his eyes. All he wanted was to be home in bed, and asleep. He knew he still had some pain-killers somewhere in his room so those would definitely come in handy.
However, he knew he wouldn't be home for a while. He needed to get up and check on the others, but the thought of getting up seemed impossible. He lifted the shirt off his head and felt it with his fingers, it was still bleeding, but not as much. He sighed and closed his eyes again, he would rest a bit until it stopped bleeding before he moved.

Bonnie looked at him with a seriousness that she only had when things were intense. "James please?" she asked "I need to know that everyone is alright.' she said and kept trying to get up. But she felt like she might have a sprained or broken ankle. Oh well Bonnie get it together. Worry about it later.

After he helped her up, he realized how much he cared about her, maybe too much. Would rather take her to the hospital before checking the other people out and make sure that they weren't injured. "Yea, alright. But at least let me hold you up" He told her kindly as he held onto her arm tight enough so she wouldn't fall over from dizziness.

even though she was in pain she smiled a bit. "Ok" she said and let him hold her up. She saw Elena and nodded over toward her then started making her way over there.

As soon as I heard the start of the car exploding I sped around and knocked every human that wasn't near Bonnie or the other vampires down. To protect them from the flying shrapnel of the car. I knocked Jeremy down just as a large piece of metal lodged itself into my torso. Jeremy hit his head on a rock but he'd be fine. I stumbled over to a tree and supported myself up. I quickly scanned the area, for anyone that was seriously injured. I didn't see anyone, so I decided to access myself. When I looked down I was shocked to see part of the door frame sticking out of my chest and abdomen. I shrieked out in pain as I tried to get it out but I couldn't. "FUCK ME!" I yelled out as I fell to my knees and supported myself with my arm on the tree. As the world started to spin.

Damon made to stand up straight until a searing pain shot through his back. "Shit!" He said moving back into his original position. He turned his head to look at his back to assess the damage and found himself face to face with a window wiper.

"Elena, could you..." He said trying to reach around for the makeshift stake but not being able to reach. "...get this thing out of me! GOD DAMMIT, LOOK AT MY NEW JACKET!"

Utter blackness was what she saw. Sophia could hear other things going on around her but she couldn't respond. It was like her skull was on fire. She tried to remember what had happened before the blackout. All she remembered was a car being in the fire and the two Salvatore brothers fighting. She then rembered that the car exploded and she fell back into a tree. She must have hit her head and blacked out. When she regained consuenous, she looked around the party to see if anyone else was injured. Luckily nobody was dead but there where a few injured. She got up but slowly fell down when her head started hurting. She called out to Elizabeth. "Elizabeth, what's going on?"

As soon as the blood entered my system, I could see a slight sliver of light, and that was it. Maybe I would be able to see after the blood has time to course through my entire system. I needed to walk, do something to prove to myself that I was still alive. This had to be a nightmare, this could not be real.
I didn't mean to, but I ignored all of Elizabeth's questions as I began to stand, using the car behind me as a guide. Slowly, I stumbled my way around the car, feeling the smooth surface beneath my hands. When I came to the end of the car, I continued on, "Hello? Is anyone over here?"
I stuck my hands out, feeling the emptiness around me, until I bumped into a solid figure, "Hello?"

Elena was able to move around with her fingers and legs now, and her voice doesn't feel horsed anymore. She saw the windsheild in Damon's back as she made an awkward face, at the graphic sight. As he asked her to pull it out, she was somewhat hesitant to do it. But she's done much worse, and this would be a pretty interesting way to get back at Damon.

"Okay..." She said slowing approaching and slowly pulling the thing out, in a flash she roughly but quickly got the thing out. "There ya go..." She said, tossing it on the leaves.

James glanced over to where Elena was and saw that she seemed to be doing fine, she didn't look injured at all. Now Damon on the other hand, he was another story. But James didn't notice the windshield wiper sticking out of his back. He then proceeded to look around the area to see if anyone else needed attention. "Bonnie, over there!" He told her as his sight came upon Ravyn who looked to be in some serious pain. "She needs some help" He said to her as he wrapped Bonnie's arm around his neck to better support her as he began making his way over.

I watched as Stefan stood up. I guessed that he used the car for support because he was in shock. I was about to go back to Jer when I heard a girls voice call my name. I registered its owner fast. "Sohp! I'm coming!" I got up and started running. I saw others as they were struggling to get up. I saw her and it looked like she was bleeding heavily. I threw her over my shoulders and ran her back to the trunk of my car. I drenched the shirt with more water as I cleaned her face. "The bonfire exploded." I got my phone out to dial the police. No luck. "There's no DAMN service!" I went back and applied pressure to her head. "Bonnie! James! Elena! Where are you?!" I called back, hoping for a response.

Sophia was being cared for by Elizabeth. She heard her yelling aobut there being no phone service and then she was yelling for the others. Her screaming was driving Sophia insane. Her head felt like it was exploding everytime she said something. "Elizabeth, could you keep it down a little. My head is pounding and gets worse when you are yelling. Do you know if it's really bad or am I just going to need a few stiches"

"Ouch!" He said turning on her now he was free of the window wiper. "You did that on purpose." He said standing up straight so his back would heal properly. Why did he ever stick around? He took a deep breath against the pain and just waited for it to heal.

He was turning, stretching his back out when he spotted her. She seemed to be impaled, dangerous close to her heart. Without a seconds thought he sped over to her and took her in his arms. "Ravyn? Does it feel okay to pull this out?" He asked, not wanting to do anything to risk her life. He had once loved her after all.

Damon sped over to me and scooped me up into his arms. I half screamed as I was shifted from my spot. I wasn't the time to scream at anything but I was seriously afraid of dying like this. This hurt like hell, I was bleeding profusely. It's a good thing that i didn't need my lungs to breath or I'd be screwed. I knew my right lung was at the least, shredded. I barely heard Damon ask me if it was okay to pull it out. I let out an ear splitting scream as I was shifted again. The piece of metal moving closer to my heart. I gripped Damon's jacket trying to keep myself from screaming again.

"Damon get it out as fast and carefully as you can! It's shifting closer to my heart!" I quickly bit out forcing myself not to scream again.

James and Bonnie soon made their way over to a closer view of Ravyn as Damon somehow sped over to her with not-possible human speeds. He then glanced at Ravyn and looked closely: she had part of a door frame through her, at first he thought he was seeing things until he made his way a little closer, still supporting Bonnie to make sure, and clearly seeing that, yea, the door was right through her abdomen area. At first he thought that she was dead, until she began screaming that she wanted it out and for Damon to make sure not to pull out her heart or rip it in anyway. "What the hell are these people?" He questioned himself, out loud, loud enough for Bonnie to hear but everyone else was too far away. He had a look of both curiosity on his face, as well as a little bit of fear. James wasn't sure what she was, or what Damon was for that matter.

He nodded and wrapped his hand around the door whilst his other held her up. With one quick fluid motion he'd pulled the car out, threw it away and placed his hand over the wound to stem the bleeding.

He turned to look at the human behind him and frowned. He was an innocent one. A smile crept along his face as he looked up at the boy. One second he looked completely normal with his twisted smile and the next, he looked monstrous. His fangs exposed, his eyes pitch black, surrounded by red veins covering the skin around his eyes. It was enough to scare even the humans that knew about them.

"Im your worst nightmate!" He smiled once his face was back to normal.

I got up and went to help the others that were hurt. I was ushering people behind the cars when I heard I girl screaming. i ran to her side and picked her up, seeing her broken leg. I walked to the car line and placed her down. I ran back and stood near a tree. I didnt notice that the tree was still on fire. One of its heavy limbs fell and landed on top of my, flatning me on my stomach while my arms were pinned to my sides under the heavy tree. "Someone, Help!" I screamed through clentched teeth as I tried to move. I couldnt without ripping my skin.

Bonnie heard what James said and decided to worry about it later when she got to Lizzie she looked at her "Hold still." she commanded and even if she was weak she concentrated on getting the tree to move enough and to get her out.

As Elena pulled the windshield out, she smiled. "Yush. That's for...err...well everything. We good now."

Elena seemed hopeful, as Ravyn had just gotten the help she needed from Damon. Maybe the day wouldn't be the worst tragedy in the history of Mystic Falls! Is what she said in her mind. She continued to think that, until she heard James. Shit. Where the vamps that obnoxious about not being that hurt after all the shit had went into them? She basically guessed so as she made her way over to James.

She rubbed his back as she felt terrible for him, that a car explosion -- caused by Damon mind you -- that ruined a day that was meant to be all happy. "It's...complicated." She said, noticing Damon turn around and approach, with his whole vampire face. She looked at Damon, with anger in her eyes, as he spoke. "Damon! Quit it! You're doing the most..." She said, it being a line she picked up from the ghetto crowd at her school. "It's actually VERY complicated, James. They're...kinda...va..vam...vampires?" She said, looking at him, ready for him to want himself to turn her into a psycho ward. "I mean not everyone here...just kinda this creeper, her, and Stefan. Oh and Tyler is k...Damon, why don't you explain...?"

"Wait, did you hear that?" She asked, taking her hand from James and looking around to see if she saw Elizabeth, which is who's voice it sounded like.

James pretty much just stood there frozen, thinking. Thinking about how the car was flipped up onto the fire, and how it seemed to appear out of nowhere. His best guess was that Damon was behind it. Seeing him, toss that door frame away and able to rip it out of the girl's body like it was nothing was just.. Amazing. It boggled the mind at how, or what rather. Damon was. Same with the girl he had just torn the frame from, she was still alive, so she must have been one too. When Damon made his face, James didn't even jump at all, he wasn't even paying attention to what was in front of him, he was more concentrated on what was going on in his mind. Then Bonnie left his side, he didn't realize it until Elena had come over and began talking to him, which snapped him out of his daze he was in. He couldn't even reply, his mouth seemed dry from the shock, he guessed. "Vampires. Vampires?" He kept repeating it, not believing it to be true until he subconsciously remembered Damon's face as the veins popped out and his eyes turned red, as well as the fangs. That was what they were, Vampires. He looked to Elena as she was telling him which were Vamps and who wasn't. He finally was able to form coherent sentences. "So, Stefan is a Vampire as well? I kind of guessed her, seeing as she was still alive with that door through her. And Tyler, what does he have to do with this?" He seemed to have too many questions, but no answers.

Damon swiftly pulled out the door frame. I clenched my teeth together to stop the scream that was stuck in my throat. Damon placed his had on my wound to try and slow down the bleeding. I knew with this much damage done to my body I was going to have to feed. "I guess it's a good thing I took that door to the back or little gilbert would be dead!" I muttered trying to fight the urge to stay in control. As my eyes changed color and my face when all vainy as my fangs elongated.

I heard Bonnie's friend James or I guess it was her boyfriend as what we were. I painfully shifted in Damons grasp trying to hid my face. The blood lust was intense with so many humans around and their blood in the air. I heard Damon say that he was James's worst nightmare so I scolded Damon. "Damon leave the poor boy alone!" I said through the pain looking at Damon's face. Great just great. Damon was going vamp face on James. That's when I heard Elena's voice close by attempting to explain things to James. I heard her tell Damon to explain. I gripped Damon's forearm hard, probably breaking a few bones.

"Get the humans away from me!" I hissed out not wanting to hurt the humans that were friends with some of the others at this disasterous bonfire. Then I heard Elizabeth call for help. I shifted myself in Damon's hold trying to go help her. But stilled myself because of the pain. "Eli needs help."
