Reunion (Victoria/Lucas)

I feel my eyes burn with a new found hatred. Love? Love is for children. To be loved is to be maimed. Love is pain. Love never lasts; those who love are lost and will never be saved. YOu've doomed yourself.

I shake my head. "Is that really what you think? I don't think so. I can't even say that you are right in any way. Love is one of the most important things in the world. Without it, we would be all fools looking for something we would never have. We would never be satisfied. You might say things like this, but I know you know that's not you talking."

I smirk. This all isn't me, but I can't control it. You poor thing; you really have fallen in love with me haven't you? Look what you've done. You've given up your humanity for a monster. You're a fool. You'll live an eternity regretting this mistake

I take a deep breath, swallowing the pain down that his words leave in me. My heart starts hurting, even though I know it's not him. He can't control himself, you know he would never say that.
I close my eyes and nod, smiling. "Yes I have. I'm completely and irreversibly in love with you. Call me a fool. But I am."

I state plainly. Good for you. Admitting your own faults. I lean back against the wall. I look at my watch before looking at her. I'm sorry, are you waiting for something?

I smile. "Yes, waiting for you to be yourself again", I say and leave my eyes closed. I look to the ground and then to the daylight ring he made for me. I smile.

I smirk and shake my head. Um, earth to you. This is me. I am myself. Colonel Lucas James Reid. Your everyday captain asshole hybrid. I say and look at her smugly.

I don't say anything to his comment and don't move. I'm just listening. It takes more than ever before that he has those weird hallucinations or whatever it is. But I can be stubborn.

I lie on my back and prop my head on my hands. I can sit here all day.

The way Luke is acting hurts my feelings deeply, but I don't make a sound or complain in any other way. I just can't. His dark side seems to be stronger than I though and he is not coming back. But I wouldn't be Victoria fields if I would give up on someone that is so important to me. "Okay screw it" I say and stand up, "Open the freaking door." My patience is gone.

I stand and cross my arms. I flip the lock. Only because you asked so very nicely. I smirk and walk back to the wall. I cross my arms and lean against it.

I Look at hin and try Not to be too Heart broken about how mean he is, r whatever that is that makes him like that. I go closer to him ad glare at him. "Okay listen. I love you even though you make it really hard for me", I grab. him on his shirt and pull him closer to me. "I will not go e up on you even though you act like an ass."

The next words that escape my lips kill me, but they aren't mine. I'm consumed by my darkness, and i don't know if I can get out. Maybe you need to accept that the Lucas you loved is gone.

I can feel the tears falling down. "I know he's not and I know he is still here right now, trying to fight against you!", I say and let my hands fall down and sigh in pain. I concentrate on Luke. "What do you want me todo Luke? How can I help you?"

My eyes narrow briefly before returning to their normal openness. I step closer to her and look down at her. I brush a tear from her face and hold it on my finger. I stare at it before flitting my eyes to hers again. You cry over him. I shake my head slightly. Why? The darkness's still talking, but maybe Victoria is breaking through.

"You really ask me why? Because he is the most important part of my life! I love him and I will not listen to your bullshit. I know Luke can hear me. And I won't let you make him suffer under your..your.." I swallow and close my eyes.

Immediately the evil grin takes over my face again. My what? Sweetheart, I am a part of Lucas. This is who he really is; or at least who he should be. A smirk crosses my lips. This is obnoxious. I hate doing this to Victoria.

"That means I have to get along with that", I whisper and try not to show him how sad I am. My effort to bring him back crackles but I don't want to leave. I want Lucas back. The real one.

Suddenly the mask falls and all I see is her. No facades. My voice is small as I blink as if seeing her for the first time. Victoria?

I hesitate to say or move. I just look at Luke and swallow. I'm not sure if it is just another masquerade that makes him nice or if its the real Luke. I can feel that my eyes burn as another tear falls down. "Is it you Luke?", I ask slowly and watch his movements.

I step slowly closer to her and nod slightly. Yes. I shake my head. I'm so sorry.

I try to smile because in relieved that he is back, but the smile looks like its fake. It certainly is. I don't move. Still trying to organize my emotions.

I sigh and run a hand through my hair. Victoria. The things that I said-I- I open my mouth and close it. I didn't mean any of it.

"I know, I mean I knew it the whole time. But unfortunately it sounded pretty real", I say and close my eyes. I try to forget the pain.

I don't know whether to touch her or hold her or not. I know. I'm sorry-I. I shrug helplessly. Try to forget that. Focus on the fact that I love you, and that I am never letting you go.
