Ryan was so glad it was the weekend. Finally he could spend some of his weeks earnings on good night out. He'd been texting his friends all day; trying to arrange a night out at the Grill, but sadly they were all declining his invitation. He decided he would go anyway, he figured that he'd bump into somebody he knew there. Afterall it was a small town and in some way every family seemed to know the other in some way or another.
After he got home from work he had a long shower, he was thinking about the stressful week he had, it was making him even more excited about getting drunk tonight; he was going no matter what. After he got out the shower, he dried himself off and got dressed in the clothes he had put to the side. Next he put some wax on his fingers and flicked it through his hair in a carefree fashion. He was never to hung up on how his hair or what his clothes were like, but they always seemed to come together nicely. After checking his wallet, phone and keys were in his pocket he hurried off out of the house.
On the walk over to the Grill, he was thinking about who he'd probably be drinking with. His uncle was pretty much always there, a raging alcoholic... he'd hate to get stuck with him, but even if he did atleast he knew he'd be getting drunk tonight. He approached the door and he could hear loud music and people talking. The music hit him in the chest like a strong wind, he really wanted to embrace this night with everything he had, he wanted to let loose and even dance. Without a second thought he walked into the Grill and looked around for familiar faces.
He couldn't see anybody he knew at the moment, but it was really busy. He decided it would be best to head over to the bar and get a drink before having another look around. If nobody he knew was here then sure enough he'd be making some new friends tonight. He approached the bar and called over the lady behind it. He thought she was gorgeous, it took him a second before he realised what he wanted. He ordered a vodka coke, and began to drink it. He glanced across the room, hoping he would see somebody he knew, but he couldn't see a single person. He was begining to think he looked pathetic.
