Meeting a Witch

I took my usual seat at the bar. The place was pretty empty when I got there but it was still early in the night. When the bartender came over to me he asked what I would like. I ordered my regular which was a Jack and coke. I sat there drinking for about half an hour before the bell at the door went off. I didn't bother looking to see who walked in, because at the moment I didn't really care.

I walked into the warm, stuffy place and and looked around. The place was pretty slow, i hoped it would pick. I was new in town and wanted to makes some friends. There was a blonde at the bar and I couldn't tell if she was cute or not, but I took a chance anyway. I walked to the bar and sat down next to her.

I finished my Jack and coke just as someone sat down next to me. I flagged down the bartender. "Instead of a Jake and coke, just give me the Jack straight up." It was a long day and mixed drinks weren't going to cut it. I glanced over at the person that sat next to me. He must be new in town since I've never seen him before.

"Rough day?" She was cute and way out of my league, but I hoped she would at least talk to me. She looked very young, like she had never aged a day in her life. Be careful! I warned myself.

"Very." I stated bluntly. Dealing with crazy brothers tends to irritate me. I thanked the bartender when he brought over an empty beer glass and filled it with Jack Daniels. At least I could be nice to the bartender since he could tell I was in a bad mood. Plus I compelled him to get me what ever I wanted. I took a sip from my glass before turning to look at the guy next to me. "You must be new to Mystic Falls." I said as the hairs on my arms stood up. There was something about this guy that I couldn't quite put my finger on, so I was cautious.

This girl was so beautiful and had a wonderful voice. "Yeah I came to deal with some problems." I wondered how someone so pretty could be at a bar by themselves. "So, what is a pretty young woman like you doing at a bar by yourself?"

"Well coming to a bar helps solve most problems, normally." I sipped my Jack. "Well thank you." I said politely to him since it was a compliment. "My brother's are driving me nuts."

"Oh, you have brothers? How many?" I figured it out. She gave off this weird vibe and I new she was a vampire, it made the hairs on my arm stand up. But I knew the only way to defeat your enemy is to get extremely close with them.

Why was this guy so interested in my brothers. I decided to be cautious. "I only have three left." I downed the rest of my drink and ordered a new one. Something was definitely up with this guy.

"Left? What happened to the others? Actually, forget I even said anything. That was really inappropriate of me to ask." I felt like I was out of place. I was trying to make friends, even though she was a vampire, and I all I was doing was sticking my nose someplace I shouldn't have been.

I just shrugged. "I don't care. You were more polite then others." I sipped my drink. "My younger brother was killed as a child. He was attacked by a wild animal." It was technically true since he was murdered by a werewolf. "One of my older brothers was killed in a car accident." That one was a straight up lie. Though its not like I could tell him that a bitchy little human put a stake through his heart.
