A New Friend Maxine|Kimberly

I walked through the streets of Mystic Falls, going from store to store. I thought it was time to buy some new clothing for once, since most of my old clothes don't fit me anymore. I scanned shop after shop, and then decided to go to a cafe, and try to act like a Human. It was obvious to supernaturals that I was 'new', and some even tried fighting me, but they were shocked that a Newborn Vampire could use power. I never thought it was possible, either. I guess being David's first made Vampire had it's great moments. I sat at a table, looking through my bags of sorted clothing, that I liked. Suddenly, I sensed a Witch somewhere within the vicinity of the area. I could smell the blood, and I felt her energy. It was extremely powerful, and the blood was overwhelming. I tried to keep my composure, thinking, Maxine, you'll be fine ... as long as you don't kill anyone.

I looked at the girl that had come over. She was the Witch. I took a deep breath, and said, "Thank you. It's just ... hard being what I am," I said, making sure no one else heard. I managed a smile at Kimberly and said, "I'm Maxine. It's nice to meet you too," I added with a smile. I placed the bags of clothing onto the table, and l said to Kimberly, "I haven't gotten used to being around Humans fully. I was recently turned a few days ago," I said, biting my lip. David turned me when I didn't want to, along with Evetta. I'm glad I remembered everything in time before he made his move at the Founder's Ball, or Everyone there might've ended up dead.
