| The two woke up the next morning, in a filthy mosseleum. Katherine wasn't really thinking about it last night, just that she yearned for him for 150 years and this was her chance, so she took it. Katherine softly looked up as she felt his hand on her cheek. She didn't want to basically respond to him, so she just smiled and brought up a whole new topic. "Any regrets?" | My old self would have laughed at how innocent she was at that moment. But I was a changed man...vampire, whatever. Even if I wanted to savor the moment just a tad longer, I still had to check in or people would think I was dead or missing for good. I patted down my pockets, finding them completely empty. "Shit." I cursed beneath my breath. My phone was nowhere in sight. Great, now the perfect morning was just wrecked.

| Almost immediately I regretted asking, "Damn, I must've dropped it somewhere on my drunken raid last night." Rubbing my temples, I sat on the large tomb in the middle of the mosseleum, thinking where to go from here, while I watched Katherine fiddle around. | |
