So damn bored

I was laying on my couch staring at the ceiling. I was so bored. Nothing interesting was going on in town, nobody wanted to talk to me because of being sired to Klaus, and people were pissed at me for biting Caroline. I repeatdly told her and everyone how sorry I was but being a hybrid and Klaus's first one didn't help. I missed hanging out with Matt and I have no idea where Jeremy is. I picked my phone off my chest and scrolled though the contacts.
No.
Shes lame.
Hes not cool.
Won't talk to me.
Hates me.
Shes mean.
I was about to give up when I saw a number I didn't use much. Irene. Whats the harm is asking her to hang out? I texted her and sent the message waiting for a reply back.

Irene was doing what she hated most all day. Nothing. She was bored out of her mind and she couldn't think of anything to remedy that. The Grill? No, she had spent way too long there in the past few days. The library? She could never keep silent there, and she didn't have the patience to compel everyone there to quit complaining. None of the places she could think of were viable for that day, and therefore she was left bored in her house.

That was when she received a lifesaving message from Tyler asking her if she wanted to hang out. She quickly answered back: YES!!!!! and got her jacket.

A few seconds afterwards she was standing in front of his door and insistently ringing his bell. She could barely wait to do something, anything.

I was still laying on the couch when I got Irene's text eagerly saying she would come to hang out. I chuckled a bit and waited for her to come over. When I heard the doorbell ring I got up and walked over to it and answered. "Damn that was quick." I smirked. Irene was really cool and fun to hang out with.

"One of the many advantages of being a vampire." Irene told him, pocketing her phone which she was still holding. Her leather jacket, which she usually put on before leaving her house, was on her other hand. After spending the whole day doing nothing, the smallest opportunity to actually have some fun seemed like a very big deal, and she hadn't wanted to miss even a second of it. "What do you have planned? Anything?"

"Honestly I don't." I shrugged while leaning against the door. "I just needed some to talk to besides myself." I was bored so I didnt really thing far enough of what I was going to do to entertain.

They'd come up with something, Irene was sure of that. But even if they didn't, just being with someone made the boredom more bearable. That probably wouldn't happen, though, especially given to the fact that Irene had a hard time keeping her mouth shut when there was someone around. She was usually very careful with what she said, but she sure couldn't be quiet for long.

"We'll come up with something." Irene assured both Tyler and herself. "Are you alone or is your mother there?"

"I'm alone, my mom is stuck at City Hall all day." I said moving from the doorway. "You can come in." I was happy Irene came over because today was really boring it sucked though that I had no idea what to do.

"Thanks!" Irene smiled at Tyler and stepped in. She had heard about the Lockwood Mansion and how pretty and big it was, but she had never seen it with her own eyes. It really astonished her. She was sure the house could accomodate the whole neighborhood and there would still be space for more people. As for the beauty, it was a bit old fashioned, like the Boarding House, but she still loved it.

"You live here? Just you and your mother?" Irene asked, looking around in wonder. She had seen places like that, and she had lived in places like that, but she hadn't been expecting so much.

I closed the door behind Irene and watched her look around. It surprised me she was in such awe because she was a vampire and had probably seen alot better. "Yup just us two." I said standing next to her. "This house is pretty much gonna still belong to us even when my mom isn't mayor." The mansion has been in my family since the Founders so there was no giving it up.

"Did you ever throw a party here or something? It would be awesome, with all this space!" Irene said, her eyes flying from one side of the room to the other, taking in as much information as they could.

"This place kind of reminds me of my first house after I was turned." Her lips almost turned up at the memory, a very old memory that she still carried with her, and probably always would.

"Parties are held here all the time. House parties, well lets just say my mom would find a way to kill me if I threw a house party." I chuckled. There has been may times when I planned a house party but my parents always found out so its never happend.

"I'll most certainly come to the next one. It must be quite amazing to have all this decorated and organized for a party!" Irene was almost spinning in circles, imagining that house all full of adornments, 18 hundreds style.

Finally, she stopped glancing around. They had to figure out something to do, and having a tour of the house and imagining it all ready for a party wasn't it.

"What are you in the mood for? I'm pretty much up for anything." Irene said, forcing her mind out of any party or mansion related thoughts.

I shrugged. "I'll admit, when the house is all decorated, its pretty nice." I said glancing around the house. I listend as Irene asked what she thought we should do. "All I can think of is drinking but whatever you find in this house we can do." We didn't have much in this house because my mom wanted everyone to think we were pretty fancy I guess.

"Drinking is fine." Irene said, glancing towards the kitchen. She supposed that they should have all kinds of drinks there, and if they didn't it would be fine with her. Though she usually went for Whiskey, she didn't mind drinking something else. "What do you have?"

"Wine, rum, vodka, whiskey, beer. Pretty much just about anything." I told her over my shoulder while walking to the kitchen. My mom kept every kind of liquor and alcohol in the house for people that came over who she was trying to impress.

"I'd like a glass of Whiskey, please." Irene told Tyler, anxious to see the liquor cabinet. She had the feeling that it was going to be bigger than the Boarding House's, and bigger than her own, and she always made sure she had a great variety, ranging from the most common ones to be most expensive and rare ones.

"Cool." I said. I went over to the cabinent the glasses were held and pulled out two. I handed one to Irene and then went to the liquor cabinet to get out the whiskey. "New bottle so this will be amazing." I told her while I poured her a glass.

Irene smiled, wondering what would come out of that day. On her experience, drinks and boredom was not a good combination if one wanted to maintain order. It took a lot to get a vampire drunk, and it probably took a lot to get a hybrid drunk, but still, chaos was sure to break out eventually.

"Thanks!" Irene told him, a wicked grin spreading across her face as she thought of all the scenarios that could happen. "What shall we do while we drink? Talk?"

I leaned my elbows on the counter as Irene asked what we should do. "Well thats the only thing I can come up with." I said and then took a drink. I feel kinda bad that I had Irene come over and we still hand nothing to do. "Sorry for making you come over, I mean now were not bored but we still have no idea what to do."

"No problem." Irene smiled at Tyler, wondering what they could do. Not having any idea of what to do was better than not having anything to do and therefore being bored, but it was still not a very good thing. She was glad she had someone to spend that boredom-filled time, though. Very glad. When she was bored, she often did things that got her into very complicated situations.

"I'd rather be bored with someone than alone. Misery loves company."

I laughed at Irene's comment. "I'll drink to that." I said an took a drink. I guess it was better to be bored together then alone. "So how did you even come to Mystic Falls? Was something here for you?" I asked. I mean I saw why Ray was here but I never really got Irene's story.

"I was just passing through town and I noticed that there were some things a bit strange about Mystic Falls, so I decided to investigate. I was planning on leaving as soon as I figured out why there were such strange deaths and things like that here, but I never left." Irene explained.

OOC: Sorry it's short and pretty much just speech.

"I would leave if I could, this place is just to crazy." I told her sipping my glass. "As soon as I found out about this stuff I would leave." I continued. I wish I could leave now but I'm not leaving my mom and my friends, especially when my friends are in this mess and I don't want to leave my mom with some crazy Original Hybrid.

That town sure was crazy, much crazier than Irene would have expected of such a small town, but that was the way she liked things, crazy and exciting. It was easy to get her bored, so she usually just moved from town to town, wondering if she would ever settle down. It seemed like Irene had finally found a place where she could actually begin to grow some roots, not that she planned on staying there all her life. She just couldn't see herself doing such a thing. But she thought would stay there for at least a year, so she might as well act like that place was going to be her home for a long time. When it came to settling, a year was a long time for Irene.

"That's how I like it, crazy. Otherwise things just get... Boring."

"You like a town full of vampires that all try to kill each other with magic and other weird supernatural beings?" I asked. If I was a passing person and I knew about what was going on I'd turn right back around. "I guess I can't judge, to each his own." I said.
