Back To the Start

Jeremy walked up the steps onto Bonnie's porch. He hadn't talked to her since they had said goodbye before he left for Colorado. He wanted to stop by to let her know he was back and to see how she was. There were many things he wanted to talk about with her. He could only remember bits and pieces of why they had broken up, and he wanted to make sure they were alright, whether that meant as just friends or possibly starting over.He knocked on her door and waited, hoping she would answer and not her dad.

Bonnie was sitting in her room and was reading a magazine. Today she had decided just relax and try to be normal. Her dad was not home so she had the house all to her self and it was very peaceful. She was looking at a fashion add and was about to go downstairs to get a soda when there was a knock on the door. She went down and opened the door and was shocked to see Jeremy there in front of her. "Hey Jeremy." she said with a slight smile and a slightly confused look. She had heard he was back but had not seen him yet. "Whats up?" she asked

He smiled seeing her open the door, "Hey, just thought I'd stop by and say hi." He said, hoping he wasn't making this awkward for her. He had missed talking to her, and didn't want their relationship to be awkward now that he was back in town. "So how are you?" He asked, smiling at her.

Bonnie smiled and said "Good do you want to come in?" she asked so they could talk. She had missed him and she still wanted to be his friend. That was probably all he wanted also.

"Yeah" he said stepping inside. He looked at her and smiled. He realized just how much he had missed her. "So tell me what's been going on with you!" He was curious to hear about everything she bad been up to.

Bonnie led them in to the living room and sat on the couch."Oh you know same old stuff. Just dealing with the craziness of this town." she said trying to not give away alot. Jeremy didn't know that he had been compelled to leave. "How about you how was Colorado?" she asked looking interested.

"Yeah." I said thinking she meant about school and all the drama the senior class had. "It was amazing!" He said smiling at the thought of it. "It was really fun, the mountains were amazing, and really fun to draw. The school was nice, bigger than Mystic Falls, so it wasn't as boring. I kind of wish I didn't have to leave." He said, although he was happy to be back, this town just didn't compare.

"Wow well its sounds amazing Jeremy. I'm glad you had fun." she said smiling but inside she could feel that it was upsetting that he didn't miss them at all really. That's not his fault he was compelled.

"Yeah it was, I wish I would have brought some of drawings to show you." He said mentally kicking himself. "I think they're probably my best work, but it's probably because the mountains were so awesome." "

"Maybe I'll see them next time we hang." she said smiling. "I'm sure they are amazing Jeremy you are one of the best artist I know." she said genuinely.

"Yeah definitely, and thanks." He said smiling at her, she always made him feel good about himself, he had missed that. "I've missed you." He said suddenly, somewhat surprised by himself, but it was the truth.

Bonnie smiled and was surprised at the same time "I missed you too Jer." she said it was the truth. Since the day he left she thought about him alot.

He smiled, glad he didn't just make a fool of himself. "I'm sorry we didn't keep in touch, I guess I just didn't really think about it once I got out there, it was just nice to get away ." He said, realizing he seemed selfish for only caring about himself while away, and not caring how she felt.

Bonnie smiled sadly That's because you were compelled. she thought but said "That's fine Jeremy. I get it. It is nice to get away."

"It was, but I guess now it's time for reality." He said sadly. "It's just everything seems different now that I'm back, in a way I can't explain. When I was out there things were great. I just don't feel like I should be here I guess." He said looking at her with all seriousness.

"Are you ok Jeremy?" she asked as he finished talking. She really hoped the compulsion was not going to make him forget his life or anything.

"Yeah I guess so." He said trying to think of how it put his feelings into words, but he couldn't. "It's just, I guess, things are different and I don't know why. It's different without Jenna for sure, but something else seems different, and I don't know if it's just me or what."

"Wow Jer that is tough and I'm sorry you feel like that." she said because she didn't know what else to say. "Well I am always here to talk. You know that."
