Biography: Poppy was born to to the unmarried but happy couple, Gretchen and Domino. They were teenage lovers on the run from their strict overbearing parents, never made contact with their families again. Gretchen gave birth in the back up their grungy VW van, and Domino swore he'd give his daughter a good life. It wasn't until she was about 6 that they managed to move from the UK and to America for a better chance at a good life. Shortly afte the move, Gretchen died from poor health, something that had been a problem since giving birth. Things were hard but he managed to work two jobs while raising his daughter. It was on Poppy's 9th birthday that he met Lydia(a wealthy woman) and her son. She too was a single parent and they instantly clicked. They married after only a year and things were finally happy for the two broken families. Tragedy struck again however when Poppy was 12 and her dad went missing. They were in Mystic Falls for one of Lydia's business trips. Fortunately her stepmother wasn't a conniving bitch and continued to take care of Poppy, or atleast let the nannies do so. Lydia was just a busy business woman so it wasn't a personal thing. They moved numerous times, living in places such as San Diego, Seaside,Vegas, Portland, Nebraska...before finally settling down here. Out of all the places, Poppy was a bit bothered they had to settle down in the one her father had disappeared at, but at the same time it gave her a little hope that maybe they'd find out what happened or even find him. Poppy grew up healthy and well taken care of. Little did she know her step mom's business was hunting supernatural creatures.
Poppy is generally a simple person. She's really not extraordinary in any sense. She, like most people, has her bitchy days and bad moods but she's not a grumpy person all the time. In fact, most would say she's pretty optimistic. Poppy is friendly, an not hard to get along with at all. Not popular, not nerdy, not some badass or comedian, she's really just average. Treat her nice and she'll return it, treat her bad and she'll be a bitch.
