Getting to know the town(Open)

"Cool, so where are you living?" I asked. "Are you back together with him?" I asked. We've both asked so many questions, its like a game of 20Q.

I smiled. "Yea were back together and I'm living with him in his family's mansion thats at the edge of town." I told her. "Where you living?" I asked.

"Thats good" I smiled "A mansion? Really?" I said shocked. "I actually have no idea!" I said when she asked where I lived.

Caroline was following her latest prey when he went into the Mystic Grill. She waited several seconds then followed him in.

He sat at a table. Caroline sat at the bar, studying him out of the corner of her eye. She believed the man had murdered his wife. She wasn't quite certain yet, however, and she needed to be if she was going to make a meal of him.

I laughed. "Its not as cool as you think but yea a mansion." I said smiling. I heard the front doors open and a blonde girl walk in and she seemed to be on a mission. I looked back at Charlotte confused. "You don't know where you live?" I asked.

"I bet it's lovely" I said smiling. I saw a girl walking in and looked over smiling. "Yeah, I'm not sure at all" I said awkwardly.

"Do you need a place to stay? I'm sure I could help out." I told her. Its not right for someone to be homeless in a new town, been there when I was first starting out as a vampire.

"I live with my gran....but I don't think she has long to live...." I said frowning. My gran recently had been ill a lot.

I bit my lip. I felt bad for Charlotte but I didn't want her think I was treating her like a charity case. "If you need anything Charlotte, you can ask me. I know we just met but I'd still like to help out if I can." I told her. So I'm a vampire, doesn't mean I can't be nice. Sure I drink blood and like to kill doesn't define me.

"Really? Thanks" I smiled, she was the nicest person I had met so far and I hoped we had become good friends.

I smiled. "No problem." I told her. I actually kinda liked Charlotte, she was nice.
