| Meredith walked into the Mystic Grill, being somewhat depressed. She had just lost a patient from an actual animal attack. It wasn't a Vampire's doing, since there was no signs of puncture marks. There were claw marks all over the body, with plenty of broken bones, and she ran out of her Vampire blood. The Doctor sat next to a girl at the front of the bar, and said to the bartender, "Can I get a Margarita with ten shots of Whiskey?" She was going drink her sorrows away, like Meredith always does whenever she loses a patient. She asked Stefan for blood, but he put her down. Once her drinks were set in front of her, Meredith couldn't be stopped. She was a drinking machine - downing shot after shot and after she done with her ten, she downed her Margarita and then ordered the bartender to make her ten more shots of Tequila with another Margarita. | |

| Irene watched the person sitting beside her down drink after drink and she wondered what had gotten her so eager to get drunk. No one drank that much and that fast unless they were a vampire, which Irene quickly discarded after listening for a heartbeat, or something really bad had just happened and they couldn't think of a better way to deal with it. For a few minutes, she didn't even touch her own drink. She just watched, intrigued, the woman drink.
However, all the speculation soon became boring and she decided that it was time for her to get some answers. In over 400 years, Irene had learned that people spoke very easily when they were drunk, so she thought she wouldn't even need to compel the woman. "Bad day?" She asked, raising an eyebrow just slightly.

| Meredith smiled at the women and sighed. "Yeah. I-I could've saved a man's life today at the hospital, but I didn't had what I need." Meredith slurred with a drunkard's tone. She had gotten drunk just off the ten shots and that one Margarita. "I'm Meredith - Meredith Fell, and it's a pleasure to meet you," The doctor said, slurring her sentence agaiin. Meredith suddenly burst out in laughter due to her drinking. "It burns sooo good," The drunk doctor said seductively, downing another shot. "What your name?" Meredith slurred then chuckled. She normally wouldn't act like this normally. God ... I'm drunk, Meredith thought, bursting out in laughter again. "I'm sorry ... I don't normally act this way." She said, shaking her head slightly. | |

| "What did you need?" Irene asked, suspicion sparking up in her mind. She was pretty sure that the hospital was well equipped, and she didn't see how Meredith could work anywhere else, seeing as small clinics didn't usually perform any major procedures and didn't handle life or death situations. She could be wrong, Irene knew that, but she didn't think she was.
"I'm Irene, Irene Rossi." She smiled at the drunk woman. Normally, she wouldn't be so willing to tell anyone her full name, but she doubted that the woman would remember it. It'd be a minor detail in a very drunken night, and that was if she even remembered the night at all.
"I wouldn't think you do. With the amount you had to drink, I'm surprised you remember what normal is." With a small smirk, Irene readjusted herself in her seat so that she was facing Meredith more easily.

| Meredith giggled at Irene and said, "Nice to meet you, Irene." When she asked what Meredith needed, the doctor bit her lip, pausing herself. Should I tell her? ... Oh what the hell! Meredith thought. Meredith leaned in closer so that she could whisper to Irene. "Vampire Blood," The Woman breathed to Irene, forming a grin. "You can call me crazy now," Meredith chuckled loudly, taking another drink of a shot laying on the counter. | |

| Vampire blood? Irene couldn't believe what she was hearing. How could Meredith use vampire blood to heal her patients? They weren't blood banks! And just because it happened to have healing properties it didn't mean it was medicine. Irene was furious and shocked, and that was not a good combination. "You use our blood as medicine?" She didn't let any of her shock and anger stay out of her indignant whisper. "How do you even manage to get it? We aren't blood banks!" | |

| Meredith bit her lip at Irene;s words and began to speak again. "I got the blood from Damon Salvatore... I knocked him out with Vervain, and drew blood from him." She breathed. Okay, maybe this wasn't such a good idea. The Doctor thought to herself, taking another drink. "Look ... I know what I'm doing is wrong, but I can't just let people die. I absolute;y hate that. I can't stand it when a patient dies in front of my eyes in the operating room." Meredith said, her voice cracking. tears sprawled down the woman's face, messing up her makeup. Perfect, Meredith thought. The Drunk doctor got up from her seat, with tears still going down her face. "Um - I'm sorry to ask this, but could you help me apply my make-up back on in the restroom? I'm not very good at applying makeup," Meredith said, giving a cracked chuckle, turning into sobs.

| She'd gotten blood from Damon? That made it all much worse for Irene. It made it personal. She knew Damon, and one could say that she liked him. Also, using vervain for something like that was offensive, though Irene couldn't really understand why. It was smart, she wouldn't deny that, but it was offensive all the same. "You don't have to use vampire blood for that." There was no way Irene was going to give in.
When Meredith requested her help with her makeup, Irene growled but accepted to help. Maybe she could get some more information about how she used vampire as blood banks and keep it from happening again. She definitely didn't want to be anyone's blood bank. "Fine. But don't try anything." She got up and started to make her way to the bathroom.

| Meredith nodded and followed behind Irene. Her mind was spinning from the Alcohol and the crying. Meredith closed the door behind her, and Irene's back was turned to her. The Doctor swiftly took out a syringe of Vervain and quickly jumped on Irene, sticking the needle in her neck and injecting all of the Vervain into the Vampire's system. She gently carried Irene's unconscious body to the floor, which was quite heavy. Geez, do all Vampires hit Rigormortise, or is it just me? Meredith complained in her head. She new the Vervain would last quite awhile, so she pulled a clean syringe and gently stuck it into Irene's arm, drawing the blood into the Blood Capsule in Meredith's free hand. "I'm sorry," She said honestly to the unconscious Vampire. Meredith felt guilty for knocking her out with Vervain, but she just didn't want anymore patients to die, not if she could help it. She acted casual again, walking out of the bathroom, finishing her shot's and swiftly placed her cash onto the bar counter and left the Grill, getting into her Silver Porsche, and driving off into the night. Meredith knew that if she met that Vampire again, that she'd most certainly killed her, and she didn't even know how frequently Irene made an appearance at the Grill. For all Meredith knew, the Vampire might want revenge and hunt her down. | |

| Irene felt the needle in her neck, but she didn't have time to fight back before she felt herself weakening. The last thing she thought was "Why was I so stupid?". She never trusted anyone, but she thought it was safe enough to let her guard a bit down when she was in the company of only a drunk doctor, but she'd been just plain stupid and she was going to pay the price for it.
It was only a matter of minutes before she woke up, since she'd started taking vervain after it had been used against her several times. She used to think it was stupid to poison yourself everyday, but it might have turned out for the best after all. She felt a sharp pain in her arm and brought her hand to it just to find a very small needle wound healing. She'd just been bloodjacked. Her head turned just in time to see Meredith leaving and she let out a groan of frustration. It'd take a while for her to heal, so she didn't think she'd actually manage to make Meredith pay, but still, she tried. Irene forced herself back to her feet and staggered to the door, ignoring the fact that the world seemed to spin around her, and looked around, trying to spot Meredith.
