Father and me (Stefan and Kevin)

I glanced up from the fridge, blood smeared around the corners of my mouth. I looked over to the clock on the wall, knowing that it couldn't possibly be Damon and maybe not Elena. Speeding to the door, I opened it, the blood still smeared in its place, "Hello..." I trailed off, seeing the small figure of Kevin.

The smile playing on my lips after he joked around was purely genuine. I was still getting used to the idea of him being back in town. "Yeah, but I'm an exception to the rule." I gave him a wink.
At first, I was going to say that Eli had to invite him in, but then I realized that she was no longer human. A pang hit my heart as I remembered that, my eyes growing saddened for a second before returning to lively. Stepping inside, I said, "Sure, come on in."

He wrapped his arms around me, resulting in me to freeze before smiling down to him. It had been awhile since I had seen him and I wanted him to enjoy this day.
"What would you like to do?" I asked, ruffling his hair. I didn't want to drag him into something boring, since I practically do nothing now-a-days. There was the park, but that would probably bring back bitter memories. And there were the shops and ice cream parlor.

I smiled down to him. I hadn't been to the movies since.. ah, hell, I've been to the movies a maximum of two times in my entire life. Honestly, I didn't even know that the town had a movie theater.
"Sure, kiddo," I shuddered at a sudden thought, "I hope we're not stuck watching Twilight."

I smiled down to him, "Shrek sounds good." Honestly. I had no clue what Shrek was. I smiled inwardly before answering, "Sure we can," I looked around in a jokingly manner before leaning in to whisper, "use our speed."

I smiled and hugged him. "I'll race you!" I said, grinning taking off first. I dashed down the street with the sunlight touching my skin. I looked back, seeing if Dad was behind me, which he probably was.
