Life goes on -- part 2

"You don't always get the choice. I could kill you now and you'd become like me." He said lifting his arm up to lay his head on. "You wouldn't even be able to do anything. I'm faster, stronger and could make you do anything i like including killing yourself." He said his tone nothing but serious. "Obviously theres no fun in that." He said adopting his more fun tone now.

"No, my father shot me." He said as if he was mentioning what he had had for dinner.

"Wait," I begun. "So I have to drink a vampire's blood, die and I'm a vampire?" I asked. It sounded way less complicated than it seemed. Of course, it probably was. They probably had to do some ritual stuff, I wonder if being a vampire is like being in a cult. "Your father? How could a father murder his own son? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. So, Stefan's a vampire too? " I'm learning so much today! "Did your father kill him also? And please boy, if you turned me into a vampire the first thing I would do is skin you like a deer." I sarcastically said, nudging him playfully.

"You have to drink enough vampire blood then die yes. Pleasant isnt it?" He said sliding out of the bed to pull his trousers back on. "My father was a hunter, long story cut shot, my brother and i liked the same girl who happened to be a vampire, we shared blood she got caught, me and stefan went to save her, we got shot." He rushed making sure to get the words out quick enough.

"Yes Stefans a vampire, what you thought i adopted him? I've spent years denying he's my brother but people just dont believe me." He said going to his wardrobe to get a new shirt. "Actually the first thing you'd do is go eat." He smirked. "But i have over a hundred and 50 years on you, you wouldn't stand a chance even if i were sleeping." He said slamming the wardrobe shut.

"Talking of sleep, go get some." He said before turning and leaving the room, making sure to shut the door behind him.

He shut the door and turned off the lights. "Hello, not dressed!" When there was no answer I sighed, shut off the lights and sat back down on the bed in the dark. "I don't have to go to bed just because you tell me." I informed him, "But I am. Because I'M tired." I lied to myself. I sighed once again and pulled the covers over me. I took up most of the big bed that smelt like sweat and sex, assuming that was sex's smell. It's pretty seductive. "GOOD NIGHT TO YOU TOO."

He laughed to himself and poured himself a new drink. "NIGHT!" He shouted back before downing his drink.

"Nah-nah-nah." I quietly mocked, sort of laughing back. I closed my eyes and watched the darkness surround me as I feel into a deep slumber.
