New Day (Open with Permission)

The sun shines through the blinds awaring her that it is morning. She moves a little and notices that her pillow is hard so she try to soften a little when she realize it's not a pillow. It's a stomach. Last nights events come rolling in her head and she realizes that that stomach belongs to Ryan. She looks up and what she sees surprise her.

I run a hand through my hair as I feel her stir. I've been awake for a few hours. My body clock's always been weird. Her arm's still wrapped around my waist and my hand rests on her back. Morning. A small smile plays on my lips. Don't worry about Luka; checked on him thirty minutes ago. He's fine; changed his diaper, happy as can be. I shrug my shoulders. You looked peaceful; I didn't want to wake you.

"Morning" She smiled. "I'm glad that you checked on him cause that's the first place I would have gone. I like a guy that can do manual labor too" She streched her shoulders and sat up. "Thanks for not waking me. I usually grotchy in the morning if I get woken up. Try having a baby whining at 5 o clock every morning. I'm glad he's got past that a little" She said as she got up and went to the kitchen. "Did you eat yet? i'm starving" She said as she picked out some stuff to make pancakes and baby food for Luka.

I stand and follow her into the kitchen. I have not eaten yet, no. I walk beside her and gently bump her over away from the stove to cook the pancakes myself. I flip them and wait a few minutes before flipping them again. I take them off the pan and put them on a big plate which I set on the table. I walk upstairs and pick Luka up out of his crib; he's dressed in a one-sie. I carry him downstairs and smile softly as I set him down in his baby chair at the table. I chuckle as he latches onto my finger with his little hand. I smile and bring his hand to my lips. I kiss it and he lets go. I smile and kiss his forehead before joining Sophia back in the kitchen as she mixes the formula.

I watched as he takes over with the cooking. I smiled. I never had someone take care of me in the morning like this. I watched as he flipped the pancakes and sets them one the table. I watch as he goes upstairs and returns downstiars with a dressed Luka. She watches Luka latch on to his finger and Ryan kiss his hand. She starts mixing the formula and closing up the stuff. She notices Ryan there. "Thanks for taking over. I've never had a guy be so good to me. Let's go join Luka before he gets grumpy about not eating"

A small smile plays on my lips as I sit on one side of Luka; Sophia sitting on the other. I put two pancakes on each of our plates. I don't know; I'm old-fashioned that way, I suppose. I take a sip of coffee. I don't believe in treating women like objects; like they're possessions and trophies. Women are equal to men; sometimes I'm certain they're better. Less impulsive. I chuckle. The whole, women are homemakers thing just makes me mad. A relationship is 50/50. If the woman cleans, the man cooks. It's even. Women aren't slaves. If a woman wants to work, let her work. It's not her job to wait on you. I take another sip of my coffee. My father, the little I knew of him, he treated my mother like an object; probably why I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum now. I shrug my shoulders. I admire you for what you do. It's not easy being a single mother, and a good one at that. It's admirable. I take a sip of my coffee and cut into my pancake.

I put one pancake on my plate. "I'm glad you don't treat women like possesions. When I was with my ex he treat me like I was some kind of object he could mess around with. That must suck about your mother. Thanks for being so nice to me and my son" As she kissed him on the cheek and gave Luka some of his formula

I shrug and take another bite of my pancake. I chew and swallow. My pleasure. Thanks for not walking on pins and needles around me. Most people walk on egg shells around me when they find out about my alter ego. They don't realize that I can control it.

"Well, I have my alter ego too so i understand. People always did that to me. They tried to keep secrets from me cause they knew if it was something bad I would flip my switch and become Maria. I tried plenty of spells to keep her from surfacing but she always broke free. I was always afraid that it would happen and I sleep with someone that i would never have slept with if it was me" She said as she let Luka finish his formula and she finsihed her pancake

I nod and finish the rest of my pancake. It's not easy; but it's manageable. Used to be a lot worse. I take a sip of my coffee.

"Yes, it is manageable. Well, I love for you to stay but me and Luka have a play date with Erin and her twins to get to" Just then Luka was laughing excitedly. He must want to see Katherine. "Thanks again for the lovely evening and breakfast" I say as I get Luka up form his chair and wipe his face off. "You think you can hold Luka a little while I get changed into something for the park"

I nod and take Luka from her. As Sophia goes up the stairs, I hold Luka in one arm and wash the dishes and put them away with the other. I chuckle as Lukas little arms wrap around my neck. I turn my attention back to him and carry him over to the table. I gently bounce him up and down and he giggles and claps in delight before latching onto my shirt and burying his face in my chest. I chuckle and kiss the top of his head. Loving, aren't you? he just squeezes me harder. I smile softly.

Sophia hands Luka over to Ryan and heads upstairs. She put on a blue summer dress and a pair a blue flats. She goes into the closet and grabs her a bag. She put some light makeup on and heads downstairs. Luka is sitting on Ryan's chest while she grabs the diaper bag and begins filling it with the stuff for the park. "Alright, all set to go. I'll just need Luka" She said as she headed over to pick Luka up. "Thanks for the night. Do you need a ride back in town?"

I hand Luka to her. No, thank you. It's not a long walk. A small smile plays on my lips. I walk to the door and open it to let her out first.

"Okay. Thank you" She walked out the door and headed to the car to put Luka in the carseat. "See you tonight"

I follow her out and close the door behind us. I walk around to the other side of the car and open her door for her. I nod as she straps Luka in the car and walks around to get into the car. Looking forward to it. There's a pause as we both look at each other.

She looked into his eyes and was lost. Before I knew it I was lip locking with Ryan. "Oh, i shouldn't have"

I gently shut her up with a kiss back. I pull back after a second and press my forehead to hers. Yes, you should've. A small smile plays on my lips. I kiss her gently again before pulling back. She gets in the car and I close the door behind her. She rolls the window down. I'll see you tonight. I smile and wave back at Luka in the back. I back away from the car to let her drive out.

She was amazzed when he kissed her back. She got in the car and rolled down the window. "See you tonight" She said as she put her sunglasses on and rode out of the driveway
